This Triple Twist Pikorua is carved from Hapopo Pounamu from South Westland. At 90mm long, with a pointed flick at the base, it is strikingly translucent. The inner connections of the twist remain intact, symbolising unbreakable bonds. Suspended on a black cord, it carries the timeless meaning of connection, loyalty, and eternity.
This 90mm Roimata is carved from dark grey Urirui Pākohe, known for its depth of colour and subtle grain. Long and slender, it’s finished with a black spiral lashing that complements the stone’s natural strength. A striking taonga that feels both grounded and refined.
A narrow chisel-form toki carved from Inanga Pounamu, symbolising strength, focus, and purposeful action. Pale and deep green tones are contrasted by the natural orangey rind at the base. Finished with a flush black cord lashing through an embedded hole.
Whakatau is a compact Kawakawa Pounamu toki carved at 40mm long, with a distinctive cloudy pattern flowing across the front of the stone. The name Whakatau means to settle, decide, or bring resolution, and was chosen to reflect the calm, grounded presence of the stone. Finished with a clean black lashing, this is a simple, strong taonga designed to sit close to the body.
Whakatipu is a Raukaraka Pounamu Hei Tiki, carved in the traditional groove style. Its golden-orange hues give it a rich, warm presence. A taonga of deep ancestral connection and meaning.

Māramatanga is a roimata made from highly translucent Kahurangi Pounamu. The name Māramatanga means clarity, understanding, and illumination, chosen to reflect how easily light passes through the stone, revealing its inner depth. This piece was shaped through tumbling in my workshop, giving the surface a natural texture and strong character, and is finished with a simple black lashing.
The niho, or tooth design, symbolises strength, protection, and determination — a reminder of resilience and the courage to face challenges. This Niho Kaha is carved from rich dark green Kawakawa Pounamu with a streak of the stone’s pale rind along one side. Measuring 85mm long, it features a three-hole ringbolt lashing in black with a four-braid cord.
Carved by David Curtis, this realistic tiger shark tooth is crafted from dark kawakawa pounamu with a lighter natural rind that has been textured to represent the upper section of the tooth. Measuring approximately 40 mm high by 60 mm wide, the finely serrated edges and strong, durable stone create a striking and authentic piece. It is suspended on a tan three-plait cord and glows beautifully when held to the light.
