Roimata Whakamahu

This piece is a pendant that symbolises a journey of growth and healing. It is a beautiful thing to hear that someone is proud to be who they are and that they are caring for themselves as the owner of this will be.

This is a gorgeous bright green pounamu with chatoyant fibres in it which are all aligned rather than felted and it give some of it a shimmering effect.

This healed fracture in the pounamu is a key feature. It is symbolic of healing that the owner has gone through in their life. She plans to pass this on one day someone special that has had a big impact on her life and probably contributed to her journey of healing. This is why it I called it ‘Roimata Whakamahu’ – Roimata of Healing.
