Family – Sibling Set Smokey Stone

I love this set of pieces made for 4 siblings, 1 boy and 3 girls.

What I really like about this set is it is part of a larger family set all from the same stone.

These two pieces, the toki, and the larger drop are pieces I made for the parents.

Having pounamu pendants all carved from the same stone is hugely significant if you want to have something to connect people.  The fact that the stone the pieces have been carved from was created under such pressure to create the inherent strength in the stone is awesome.

The Strength of the stone is a great characteristic for giving to people that have a strong bond, like a family or sports team.

These pieces of stone have been a part of larger whole for such a long time is a great metaphor for being part of a group or family where the pendant can be a reminder that you a part of something bigger and that you do belong.
