This piece is a 75mm Roimata, carved from the same creamy, pale-toned Pākohe as the Niho pendant. The stone has a soft, glowing quality that speaks of quiet strength and deep roots. It is finished with a black Roimata lashing and shaped with smooth, rounded curves from end to end. Tapered like a leaf or a sleek fish, this piece is all about flow.
The Roimata form symbolises healing, comfort, and the expression of emotion. Traditionally associated with soothing grief and acknowledging tears, it also speaks to the idea of movement through time, change, and personal growth.
