$310.00
This 65mm Toki is carved from Totoweka Pounamu, a beautiful variety of Kawakawa from South Westland. In natural light, it shows deep forest green tones, but when held up to the sun, a striking reddish-brown hue glows through the stone. The Toki represents strength, determination, and the will to shape and influence the world around us.

Description
This striking Toki is carved from Totoweka Pounamu, a variety of Kawakawa Pounamu from South Westland. The stone holds a rich depth of colour: in regular light, it appears a deep forest green, while sunlight reveals a glowing reddish-brown warmth within the heart of the piece. This quality gives the stone a living presence, a reminder that what lies within can shine through in the right light.
At 65mm long, this Toki is a wearable size with a strong sense of presence. The Toki design symbolises strength, courage, and the ability to overcome adversity. Traditionally associated with the toki adze, a tool of both creation and authority, it speaks to someone who is determined to carve their own path.
The Totoweka variety of Kawakawa is known for its unique colouration, and this piece highlights those qualities beautifully. It is bound and ready to wear with a strong braided cord and lashing.
