These Marsden Flower Jade earrings are set in sterling silver with handmade hoops by M.V.H Jewellers. The oval cabochons are 20mm long and gently curved on the front to show off the soft depth and golden tones of the stone. I carved the Pounamu myself, selecting pieces that capture the flower-like patterns unique to Marsden. A timeless pair with a clean and elegant profile.
Description
This set of Marsden Flower Jade earrings features oval cabochons carved by me from a beautifully patterned piece of Pounamu. Marsden Flower Jade, or Putiputi Pounamu, is known for its golden blooms and rich green base. These cabochons are 20mm long (not including the hoops) and slightly curved on the front, catching light in a soft, natural way.
The silver settings and hoops were handmade by M.V.H Jewellers, using sterling silver and traditional techniques. The hoop design allows the earrings to swing freely, adding gentle movement and highlighting the depth in the stone.
Each element of this pair reflects the care of two makers â my carving of the stone and M.V.Hâs fine silverwork â to create a refined, meaningful taonga that can be worn every day or on special occasions.
