Description

This one-off pair of earrings comes from the heart of a beach pebble collected at Kaitorete Spit — a place shaped by the wild forces of wind, water, and time. The stone is coloured quartzite, filled with soft white flowering patterns across a base of smoky purple-grey.

These earrings were cut to preserve the natural outer edge of the pebble, leaving the original curves untouched. Both faces are flat, showing the internal pattern of the stone in clear contrast to the outer shape. They taper from a narrow top to a wider base, echoing a sense of grounded strength and openness. At 55mm long (not including silver-coloured hooks), they feel both bold and elegant — a taonga shaped by nature and finished by hand.

They can be worn on their own or as a natural companion to the matching pair made from the outer edge of the same stone.
