Description
These matching earrings are carved from Kawakawa Pounamu, a deep green variety of New Zealand greenstone valued for its strength and natural beauty.
The design follows a clean, flowing line. One side runs straight down while the other side curves outward in a gentle arc before tapering toward the base. Rather than a rounded end, the earrings finish in a softly pointed shape created by a subtle outward curve, giving them an elegant and balanced profile.
Each earring is around 65mm long (plus the hooks) and tapers toward the top so they remain comfortable to wear while still making a strong visual statement. When the light shines through the stone, the Kawakawa Pounamu reveals its natural translucency and depth, highlighting the character of the stone.
These earrings are a simple and striking way to wear Pounamu â a taonga of Aotearoa that symbolises strength, connection, and the enduring beauty of the natural world.
