This Serpentine Pounamu cobble is 11cm long, 8cm wide, and 3cm high. With its striking patterns and feathering on the polished side, and natural skin on the other, it can be used as a touchstone for grounding and reflection, or as a mauri stone for a whānau, whare, or kaupapa.

Description

This cobble is carved from serpentine Pounamu, one of the most recognisable and admired types of greenstone. Measuring 11cm long, 8cm wide, and 3cm high, it has a substantial presence while still being easily handled. The stone’s polished face reveals dramatic feathering and natural patterns. The opposite side remains untouched, keeping the natural skin intact and reminding us of the stone’s origins in the whenua.

This piece can be used as a touchstone to hold and connect with during times of reflection, stress, or focus. It also has the potential to serve as a mauri stone – a vessel that embodies and protects the life force of a whānau, whare, or kaupapa. In this role, the cobble stands as a guardian of energy and intent, linking people, place, and purpose.
