This Roimata taonga is carved from a striking piece of Inanga Pounamu, chosen for its strong contrast and flowing internal patterning. Dark grey to black dendritic forms move in from one side of the stone, creating a sense of depth and natural movement, while softer swirling patterns sit beneath the surface. These darker features are balanced by a gentle transition through pale green tones, shifting from a deeper, misty green into very light, almost milky shades.
The roimata form traditionally symbolises emotion, healing, and the release of grief, making it a shape often worn close to the heart.
