Description
These handcrafted cufflinks combine solid sterling silver with beautiful creamy Inanga Pounamu from Aotearoa. The Pounamu has the soft pale green colouring and translucency that Inanga is known for, creating a refined and understated appearance that works exceptionally well in formal settings. Each square top measures approximately 9–10mm across and 4mm thick, giving them depth and presence while still remaining elegant and wearable.
The clean square shape gives the cufflinks a modern and structured look that pairs naturally with dress shirts, suits, and formal clothing. The Pounamu itself becomes the feature, allowing the natural colour and light within the stone to stand out. Depending on the light, the stone shifts from creamy pale green through to brighter translucent tones.
The sterling silver fittings are solid and durable, with a hidden pin system extending up into the Pounamu itself. This creates a strong connection between the silver and stone while maintaining a clean finish from the front view.
Pounamu has long carried significance in Aotearoa as a taonga connected to identity, connection, and meaning. These cufflinks offer a subtle way to carry that connection into formal occasions, whether worn at weddings, celebrations, business events, or important milestones. They are understated, elegant, and uniquely tied to New Zealand through the beauty of the stone itself.
