Description

This small serpentine cobble was found on the beach and carefully polished on one face while leaving the opposite side untouched and natural. The contrast between the smooth polished surface and the weathered outer skin of the stone highlights both its raw origins and the hidden beauty within.

The most striking feature is the bright chatoyant band running through the centre of the cobble. In this area, the fibres within the stone have aligned in a way that reflects light back in a shimmering line, almost glowing as the stone is turned in the hand. It is a subtle but very noticeable natural effect that gives the piece depth and movement.
