Kōtuitui – Interconnected

Kōtuitui, a name derived from the Māori word meaning to interlink or connect, perfectly embodies the core spirit of this collection. Much like the threads that interweave to form a strong bond, this set of Pounamu pendants represents the intricate and inseparable links that bind us to family and our roots in Aotearoa. Carved from a single stone, these pendants, though now distinct, remain forever linked, echoing the profound essence of the word Kōtuitui and the enduring bonds of whānau.

The pounamu from Southwestland is a sight to behold. Its colors dance from the darkest of greens to the brightest shades, telling a story of the land it comes from. Every pattern and swirl on the stone has its own character, like a fingerprint of nature. The drop earrings, with their light green glow, are especially captivating, shining brightly and catching the eye.

The Roimata, shaped like a teardrop, is a symbol of emotion. It speaks of feelings, memories, and the ties that bind us. The Toki, on the other hand, stands tall and proud, reminding us of strength and resilience. Together, these pendants weave a tale of love, power, and family.

The magic is in the making. Starting from a single slice of chosen Pounamu, each piece was carved with care and attention. Images that captured this journey show the raw beauty of the stone slowly taking the shape of the pendants we see today.

These aren’t just pieces of jewelry. They are symbols. Symbols of connection, of family, and of the beautiful land of Aotearoa. Wear them close to your heart, and feel the bond they represent.
