Flowing Koru Heirloom
This piece was created with a deep appreciation for the connections and stories that taonga carry through generations. Standing at 55mm tall, it features an intricate design of flowing koru, fully carved on both sides, symbolising growth, unity, and the intertwining paths of life.
Carved from beautiful inanga Pounamu, the stone reveals classic pale green hues that emit a soft glow when held to the light. A darker, chatoyant green band runs across one side, a characteristic unique to inanga, adding a touch of depth and individuality to the piece.
The pendant is paired with a honey-white, four-braid cord, which complements the natural tones of the stone. Designed to be an heirloom, this taonga is intended to hold the stories and mana of its wearer, creating a connection between generations and honouring the past while looking toward the future.
This piece reflects the values of growth, resilience, and whānau. It is a humble yet meaningful creation that will stand as a symbol of enduring connection for years to come.
