There is growth and progress on our journey, milestones and achievements we accomplish.

The carving on this roimata represents a journey. The koru for growth and achievement. In this case the milestone of becoming a registered kaiako. The winding path below it is the journey. The end of the line can be both the beginning of the journey as well as the unknown future and ultimate direction we head in. One step in front of the other, progress.

A roimata or kuru is about comfort and caring for people. It represents shared emotions, empathy, confidence, solidarity, reassurance.

It is a symbol that connects with emotions and the heart.
