Description
This Roimata taonga is carved to a smooth, rounded form that feels settled and balanced in the hand and when worn. At 60mm long, it has a gentle presence without feeling heavy, making it well suited for everyday wear.
The Pounamu shows light pale greens through the main body, contrasted by darker inclusions that give depth and movement to the stone. Along one edge, a subtle line of oxidised orange, rusty skin remains from the original boulder, grounding the piece in its natural origins and adding character without distracting from the overall simplicity.
The Roimata form traditionally symbolises healing, release, aroha, and the acknowledgement of emotion.
