Description

This Pounamu Palm Cobble is created for both touch and display. At 8cm by 9cm and 1.5cm thick, it fits comfortably in the hand, making it ideal to hold during quiet moments, to turn over and feel the contrast of textures, or to keep nearby as a calming presence. When placed on display, it draws the eye with its unique colours and natural form, carrying both beauty and meaning into any space.

The cobble shows pale green colouring that runs across the polished face, accented by sections of brown rind that bring warmth and depth. This mix of colours and finishes tells the story of the stone’s journey — part revealed through polishing, part kept in its natural state. The polished surface highlights the inner life of the Pounamu, while the rind keeps the memory of its origin intact.

This piece works equally well as a personal stone for grounding and reflection, or as a taonga placed within a whare or kaupapa, connecting people to the whenua and its strength.
