A large palm-sized serpentine cobble with deep mottled greens and striking lighter green patterning throughout. One side has been polished to reveal the detail within the stone, while the natural outer surface still shows translucent green bands running through the edge.

Description
This large serpentine cobble was found on the beach and polished on one side to reveal the strong contrast and natural patterning within the stone. The surface is filled with mottled light greens sitting over a much darker deep green base, creating a textured and layered appearance throughout the cobble.
Along the natural unpolished side are several lighter green bands, including one particularly translucent and gemmy section that stands out clearly in the light. Leaving part of the stone untouched keeps a connection to how it was originally found while also showing the hidden colour and depth inside.
Its broad flat shape and smooth polished surface make it a satisfying touchstone to hold in the hand, while the strong natural colouring also makes it an impressive display piece.
