Description
This 90mm Roimata is made from striking Kahurangi Pounamu, known for its bright green clarity and strong translucency. The stone was originally a long, narrow piece with a naturally weathered surface that I preserved during carving. Its final form balances soft right angles with the untouched texture of the skin, creating a taonga that feels both refined and raw. To complete the surface finish, I tumbled the piece—retaining its natural energy while giving it a smooth, tactile polish. This is a one-of-a-kind pendant that reflects the journey of the stone as much as the hands that shaped it.
