This 55mm Toki is carved from Ōnewa, a dense and weighty basalt sourced from Akaroa on Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū (Banks Peninsula). Formed through volcanic activity millions of years ago, this stone embodies endurance and strength. The Toki is a significant taonga in Aotearoa, once a practical tool and later a symbol of leadership and resilience.
