This 80mm Roimata was carved from Pakohe gathered near Tākaka, a stone deeply connected to whakapapa and tools of old. The form curves freely and organically, embracing the natural movement of the stone.
What makes this piece truly unique is the untouched outer skin left intact along one edge — creamy white with soft orange and brown tones. It’s a reminder of the stone’s raw beginnings, grounding the taonga in the whenua it came from.
