Description
Named Toki Manawaroa, meaning “resilience” or “enduring strength,” this 105mm taonga is a commanding piece from Paul Berry’s Mana Range. Carved from highly translucent Kawakawa Pounamu sourced from the Arahura Awa, the stone features bold green depths that catch and hold the light.
The form is a stylised freeform waterfall Toki—flowing, multi-planed, and curved with intention. The surfaces reflect and refract light from different angles, enhancing the presence of the stone. Every edge and curve gives the feeling of strength flowing through movement.
It is paired with an exact miniature toggle—mirror-carved from the same stone, maintaining the form and wairua of the main piece in balance and continuity.
