Description
These earrings are carved from rich Kawakawa Pounamu and shaped into a long, flowing form that resembles a wing or blade. The design begins with strong thickness at the top and gradually tapers to a thin, refined edge at the base, creating a dramatic sense of movement and balance.
This tapering form also brings out the beauty of the stone when held in the light. The thicker upper section holds the deep forest green tones typical of Kawakawa Pounamu, while the thinner lower section allows the light to pass through more easily, creating a glowing translucency toward the tip.
Each earring is 55mm long and features natural dark inclusions within the Pounamu that add texture and depth to the stone. The overall shape feels dynamic and elegant, with the flowing lines of the carving allowing the light and colour of the Pounamu to shift as the earrings move.
