This 65mm Roimata is carved from deep green Bowenite Pounamu sourced from the Tasman region. In low light it appears dark and solid, but when held to the sun it becomes highly translucent, revealing the inner structure of the stone. The Roimata form represents emotion, reflection, and release, while the clarity within symbolises insight that comes from within. Finished with a clean black spiral lashing, it hangs naturally when worn.

Description
This 65mm Roimata is carved from deep green Bowenite Pounamu from the Tasman area. It has clean, straight sides that taper to a soft curve at the base, giving it a calm, balanced feel.
In normal light it appears dark green, but in sunlight it becomes highly translucent, revealing the inner structure of the stone. The name Te Ao i Roto reflects this — a world within, both in the Pounamu and in ourselves.
The Roimata form represents emotion, reflection, and release. This piece speaks to clarity emerging from within, with light passing through darkness. It is finished with a black spiral lashing that sits cleanly and allows the taonga to hang naturally.
